The popular durum wheat semolina pasta has a long tradition but does not start in Italy as many may think. In fact, first recipes for noodles were created in China and were written down on parchment about 200 BC. Nowadays, pasta dishes are consumed all over the world with enthusiasm. In Italy fresh pasta is much appreciated and Italians prefer to make their pasta themselves. Germans, though, are something more comfy and often prefer to use packed pasta.
