Ingredients:
- 1 block of smoked tofu
- lettuce
- 1 tomato
- 1 carrot
- sesame seeds
- hot peppers if necessary
For the teriyaki sauce
- 3 Tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp dark soy sauce
- ¼ cup water
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 slice of ginger
- 2 Tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp water
Instructions:
- Prepare the vegan teriyaki sauce, preferably a few hours before use. For the sauce, add 3 Tsp of sugar, 1 Tbsp of dark soy sauce, ¼ cup of water, 1 clove of garlic, and 1 slice of ginger to a pan. Stir over medium heat. Bring the sauce to a boil and then lower the heat immediately and let it simmer. In a separate bowl, mix 2 Tsp of cornstarch with 2 Tsp of water and stir the mixture into the boiling sauce.
- Cut a block of smoked tofu into strips and let them marinate in the teriyaki sauce and let it sit for a few hours.

Fry the marinated tofu briefly. Wash the lettuce and slice the tomato. Roughly grate the carrot.

For those who like it spicy: add more pepper strips to the lettuce and tofu.
