Ingredients:
- 150 g sweet potatoes
- 1 carrot
- 50 g cashew nuts
- 3 tbsp yeast flakes
- 2 tsp vegetable stock
- 1/2 to 1 cup of water (depending on desired consistency)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 pinch turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- fried onion
- chives
Preparation:

Chop the sweet potatoes and carrots and cook in a pot of water over medium heat for about 15 minutes.

Mix together with cashews, yeast flakes, vegetable stock, lemon juice and turmeric in a blender and puree for up to 10 minutes.

Flavour the sauce with salt.

Cook the Knoepfle according to instructions and serve with the sauce, fried onions and a handful of chives.
Our tip:
For a particularly fine sauce, the cashew nuts should soak in water for about 8 hours or soak in hot water for at least one hour.
